Support PM’S call to rally under BN: Gerakan

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Gerakan Youth is confident that Malaysians in Sabah will support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s call to rally under the Barisan Nasional (BN) government with him at the Federal and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman at the State level.
Its chief, Chang Shui Kiong said the Prime Minister had been consistent in demonstration his Malaysia pragmatic, transparent, fair and equitable approach in getting right balance, willingness to listen and people-centred leadership style since taking over the helm.
Sabah Gerakan Youth, he said was confident that the Chinese community leaders and the people in the State would continue to value and treasure the good qualities and tested leadership of Najib.
“It is the key attraction and consideration factors and therefore react and respond positively to the Prime Minister’s call to rally for their continuous support for the BN government both at the State and federal levels,” he said. The Prime Minister must be given the chance, support and time by the people for him to prove his able leadership in bringing more changes and development that would lead Malaysians to achieve greater heights in life, as the country moves toward becoming a high-income nation by 2020.
“The people must acknowledge that no major changes can take place or made just in an overnight situation and the Prime Minister deserve to be given san adequate time frame and opportunity to deliver the intended changes initiated under the Government Transformation Programme being spearheaded by Pemandu, an entity chaired by Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon (Gerakan president) and the New Economy Model,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s call for the people to rally behind Datuk Seri Musa Aman at the state level is another clear signal of the Prime Minister’s full confident and an endorsement of Musa’s leadership in heading the state government.
He assured that Sabah Gerakan Youth would continue to work hand-in-hand and joint forces with the counterparts in other component parties to achieve the aspiration of the Prime Minister in uniting the people under 1Malaysia.
“We are extremely happy to say that BN through Gerakan Sabah has been experiencing tremendous second wave support from the younger generation of Malaysians since the joining of Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah into our party recently,” he said.
The movement also welcomed the few thousand new members led by Datuk Gan Shau Fah together with Datuk Joseph Lo Su Thau, Datuk Oi Thiam Beng, Datuk Yong Chi Fui and David Ng into the party fold in a ceremony that was witnessed by Najib and Musa.
