Agex 2010 to welcome 5,000 visitors

KOTA KINABALU: Asean Oil & Gas Expo (Agex) 2010 scheduled for July 22-24 is set to welcome more than 5,000 visitors.
So far, more than 2,000 participants have registered for the event at Sabah Trade Centre here.

This International event which boasts of big names such as Kimberly Clark Trading Sdn Bhd, Draka (M) Sdn Bhd, Karcher Cleaning System Sdn bhd, Elliott Ebara Singapore Pte Ltd, Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd, Asean supply Base Sdn Bhd, Technip Geoproduction (M) Sdn Bhd and Valser Engineering & Service Sdn Bhd is cited as one of Asean’s finest and the largest ever oil and gas technology event in Borneo.
Visitors would be greeted with a myriad of displays of the latest products and technologies in the oil and gas industry.
Interactive sessions which allow visitors to get more “hands-on” with the product exhibits are also welcomed by the exhibitors who have spent more than a year in preparation for the fully “sold out” inaugural event.
The “Oil & Gas Networking Nite”, a simple b2b platform evident in all of Fireworks’ events tailored for exhibitors and invited high-profile oil and gas industry allowing professionals to mingle at a laid-back environment would be taking place on the second night at Promenade Hotel. Senior management from Petronas Carigali, Petronas Labuan, Shell, Asian Supply Base are expected to grace the occasion adding to the glamour of this unique networking event.
Despite being one of the top oil producers in Malaysia, Sabah had never had an oil and gas exhibition of such a scale.
Jerel Soo, managing director of Fireworks Event (M) Sdn Bhd who is the brain behind this event, has pledged to organise this event on an annual basis to ensure the vibrant oil and gas industry here would be regularly educated and updated on the latest in technological advancements through this major international exhibition which features world class exhibitors from Singapore, Malaysia, UK, US, China, Korea, Italy, Germany, Taiwan and Japan.
