PENAMPANG: Members of the Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developer’s Association (Shareda) generated an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM7.562 billion last year.

According to research conducted by Shareda, the GDV places property development in third place of the State economy’s largest earners after the oil and gas industry at RM10 billion and the palm oil industry at RM15.3 billion Sabah’s tourism industry stands at fourth place with earnings of RM5.6 billion.

KUALA LUMPUR: Moody’s Investors Service says Malaysia’s vulnerability to external financial shocks will be limited by its strong external position and large pool of domestic savings.

Nevertheless, it said, net portfolio inflows into Malaysia (A3 positive) during 2010-2012 surpassed the accumulated total of the previous decade, representing vulnerability to a sudden drop or reversal of these flows.
