KOTA KINABALU: The Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the catalyst to the economic growth as it accounts for nearly 99 per cent of the business entities in Malaysia.
SME Corp Malaysia chairman Datuk Mohd Al Amin Abdul Majid said SMEs are a key determinant to the direction of the country’s future.

JOHOR BAHARU:- Malaysia is ranked the safest of 19 upper-middle income nations in the world, according to the World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index 2011 report.

Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohd Radzi said Malaysia was also deemed the 12th safest country, faring better than the United States and Britain.

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sarawak attracted new investments worth RM8.17bil last year, almost double the combined new investments for the more developed states of Penang and Selangor.

State Industrial Development Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said on Wednesday the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) 2011 report showed RM4.48bil in new investments for Penang and RM4.38bil for Selangor.
