KOTA KINABALU: Sabah remains the nation’s main producer of palm oil with 5.84 million tonnes of crude palm oil (CPO) produced last year.

The figure is an increase of 9.9 per cent when compared to production in 2010. It also contributed to the country’s 11.3 per cent increase in CPO recorded last year.

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board has declared a dividend of 6% for 2011 the highest in the last 10 years.

In a statement yesterday, EPF said the dividend, an increase of 20 basis points over the 5.8% paid out in 2010, translates to RM24.47bil being distributed to its members.
