KOTA KINABALU: Gerakan Sabah has given its full endorsement for the Sabah 2012 Budget announced by Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, last Friday.
In a joint statement issued here Wednesday, its Liaison Chairman Datuk Gordon Leong and Youth Chief Chang Shuikiong described the 2012 described the 2012 Budget as the “1-Malaysia people’s Budget” which in a nutshell stands to benefit a broad spectrum of society, ranging from youths, women, the poor, the underprivileged, the young and old.

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman yesterday presented government grant totalling RM10,789,830 to 258 schools in Sabah.

They included Chinese independent and mission schools. And, a total of 440 non-Islamic religious bodies including churches as well as Chinese, Hindu and Sikh temples, were also allocated RM17,275,000.

MyLED investing RM175m on factory upgrade

PUTRAJAYA: Malacca-based MyLED Group is investing RM175 million to upgrade its factory to churn out light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

“From now until 2014, we’re putting in money to expand our solid state lighting (SSL) plant to make LED chips. We’ll be leveraging on Osram’s technology to start mass production from January 2012,” said MyLED group chairman Datuk Fauzi Said.
