KOTA KINABALU; Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman has called on all state departments and agencies to focus on managing their finances prudently.

Winding up the Finance Ministry’s speech at the last day sitting of the State Assembly here yesterday, he said financial resources must be managed efficiently by ensuring public spending was in line with the “value for money” concept.

TWENTY-TWO private companies have been allowed to invest in the biotechnology industry in Sabah with investments worth RM152 million.

Assistant Industrial Development Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Michael Asang told the House that the investment would provide job opportunities to 676 people in the state.

KOTA KINABALU: Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) will supply the liquefied natural gas (LNG) necessary to fire the proposed 300-megawatt power plant in Sandakan.

The state government and Petronas are scheduled to meet in two weeks to formalize prior discussions said Minister of Industrial Development, Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah.
