KOTA KINABALU: The Ministry of Industrial Development has been allocated RM41.114 million under the first ‘Rolling Plan’ (2011-2012) under the 10th Malaysia Plan.

Its minister, Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah said, of the amount, RM14.50 million would be given to POIC Sdn Bhd to continue with the development of the three phases of the Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC) in Lahad Datu while RM12.5 million for Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) Sdn Bhd to continue with development for the resettlement and ‘site and service’ scheme..

Sabah agencies rated 4-star by A-G

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman declared five agencies in Sabah were given a 4-star rating by the Auditor General.

The agencies are Sabah Credit Corporation, Kota Marudu/Pitas District Council, Sipitang District Council, Tambunan District Council and the State Treasury Department.

(亚庇讯)州工业发展部长拿督陈树杰透露,在第九大马发展计划下,截至今年八月份,本州接获制造业的建议投资额高达一百六十三亿令吉,并将造就一万八千零一十六个就业机会。

其中的七十七亿为外资、另五十七亿令吉为本地资金,其余的廿九亿令吉为其他来源的投资。
拿督陈树杰是于今午在州议会,为2011年州财政预算案辩论,作其部门辩论总结时,如此指出。

1.    Report discloses the following:- (1) Deep pockets of poverty continue to exist in certain socioeconomic groups as well as in certain areas.  In 2009, 80 percent of poor households were located in Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak.  31 percent of all poor households live in rural Sabah and Labuan. (2) High percentage of poverty in the rural areas of Sabah among the Rungus, Suluk and Orang Sungai with low percentage of population compared with other communities.

State’s GDP expected to rise by 6.7pc

KOTA KINABALU: The gross domestic profit (GDP) of the State is expected to increase by 6.7 per cent this year.

Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan said that base on the Tenth Malaysia Plan report prepared by the Economy Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department, Sabah’s GDP for the year is six per cent compared to 2009 with a GDP of -0.7 per cent.

RM6.9bil set aside for clean water, electricity and more roads

RM492 million spent on Sabah Development Corridor projects

SOME RM492 million has been spent to implement part of the 20 researches and initial works and the 34 main projects under the Sabah Development Corridor (SDC).

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the figure was part of the allocation channeled by the federal government to SDC under the Ninth Malaysia Plan amounting to RM918 million.
