Kota Kinabalu: The technology to capture biogas is already available for palm oil mills in the country to install the facilities but the number of mills to do so is still low.

Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said the number of biogas plants in operation throughout the country is only 24, representing 5.8 per cent of the total palm oil mills in the country.

KENINGAU: The first palm fibre oil extraction (PFOE) plant in the state was launched at Km 3, Karamatoi Road off Nabawan Road here yesterday.

Industrial Development Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah who launched the PFOE and the ceremony to hand over the plant from Eonchem Technology Eonmetall Group to Kim Loong Technologies yesterday, hoped that more oil palm mills in this state would invest in the PFOE technology.
