KOTA KINABALU: More talks will be held with Brunei and Sarawak to discuss collaborative efforts in developing oil and gas industry, with Sabah proposing a three-state planning committee to be set up for coordinating activities among the partners.

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah should utilize the natural gas to be sourced from the Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal (SOGT) project in Kimanis to develop its own high revenue oil and gas industry, said Minister of Industrial Development Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah.

KOTA KINABALU: The government will continue to work hard to bridge the economic gap not just among regions in Sabah but also between the State and Peninsular Malaysia.
It will strive to stimulate innovation and creativity, enhance the skill and increase the productivity of its human resource as well as swiftly address any structural barrier to growth in the fast changing economic environment, said Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman.

LABUAN: If done right, Malaysia can become a key deepwater oil and gas hub globally after Houston, Rio De Janeiro and Aberdeen.
Disclosing this, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said clearly, the era of easy oil is over and the exploration and production of oil and gas will move increasingly into deeper waters, presenting new challenges as well as opportunities.

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has the potential to be the biggest oil and gas producer if gas is fully utilised to develop the industry in the state instead of merely piping it to Bintulu, Industrial Development Minister Datuk Raymond Tan said.

Sabah has the potential to be a destination for international exhibitions, especially for high technology equipment involving oil and gas and slosh palm oil industry.
Managing director of Fireworks Event (M) Sdn Bhd, Jerel Soo said the natural sources in the state would bring in more professionals in the region to take part in any international events held here.
