KOTA KINABALU: The close relations between the Sabah Barisan Nasional Elected Representatives’ Wives Charitable Organisation (Bakisa) and other welfare bodies in the country must be further strengthened in the interest of national solidarity, said the Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

A COMPREHENSIVE paper to solve issues affecting natural gas supplies to industries in Malaysia will be presented to the Cabinet soon.
The paper is being prepared jointly by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) and the Economic Planning Unit (EPU).

Subsidy removed for RON 97 petrol
KUALA LUMPUR: From Friday, the subsidies for sugar, petrol, liquefied petroleum gas and diesel will be cut as part of the gradual subsidy rationalisation programme, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office on Thursday.
The price of sugar will go up 25sen to RM1.75 per kg; LPG will go up 10sen to RM1.85 per kg; petrol RON95 will be up 5sen to RM1.85 per litre and diesel will be up 5sen to RM1.75 per litre.
