(吉隆坡)首相拿督斯里納吉宣佈,政府在新經濟模式下,將重新檢討扶弱政策,以迎合和容許更多競爭的經濟政策、提高市場友好、以績效為基礎、透明化和以需求為基礎的特質。

國家經濟咨詢理事會(NEAC)草擬的報告則指出,新經濟模式建議,扶弱政策應該轉向注重機會,而不是結果。剩餘的固打應該逐步廢除。
