SANDAKAN: Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah (pictured left) said Sabah Progressive Party’s decision to pull out of the Barisan Nasional (BN) was made without getting feedback from the grassroots members.

1. It is not a unanimous decision in the Supreme Council meeting this afternoon . Grassroot supporters should be given an opportunity to make their own decisions. They are not forced into accepting a decision of the Supreme Council that have different views.

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Deputy President Datuk Raymond Tan feels it was wrong for two BN party president - Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan and Datuk V.K Liew – to comment on the position of SAPP even before the Barisan Supreme Council had deliberated on the party’s fate.

‘My stand in the party is that whatever we do, it cannot read as supporting (Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim). There is a lot of speculation whether there is a pact between (Party president) Datuk Yong Teck Lee and Anwar.
